NO SMOKING ON BONDI BEACH

A ban on smoking is now in force on the famous Bondi beach as well as Bronte and Tamarama beaches, all in Sydney, Australia.

The cigarette buts are staying on the sand, so this is where the initial ban is, with smoking still being allowed on the promenades behind the beaches. After a trial period, there will be a fine of AU$110.

There are plans to extend this ban to other areas.
