DRIVE-THROUGH CHECK-IN

British Airways have launched the first drive-through check-in.

For their Club World and First Class passengers in Barbados, they go to the IAM Jet Centre and drop off their luggage and collect their boarding passes. Then they are taken by a private vehicle to the aeroplane, without even seeing the inside of a terminal.

BA's commercial manager South Caribbean Elvin Sealy, says “Many of our first and club world passengers stay in private residences and luxurious hotels all over the island. Having a dedicated check-in centre means they can avoid the hassle of the terminal and we can ensure that their departure experience meets their overall holiday expectations.”
