ANTI FRAUD MEASURES BY INSURANCE COMPANIES It has been reported in recent press, that some insurers are to adopt more stringent methods of lowering the number of fraudulent insurance claims. One well known company is set to run a three month pilot scheme using a voice stress analysis system on their claims lines similar to that used by lie detectors. Obviously because of civil rights etc., people are to be made aware that this technique is being used. If the system proves to be successful, it could be adopted by loss adjusters in all areas of insurance.
