WHERE DO THE YOUNG GO?

A worldwide survey of young travellers by STA Travel has revealed that UK young travellers are the most adventurous, doing bungee jumping, sky diving and dune boarding.

The Americans tend to look for more cultural breaks, while the Germans, Swiss and Austrians tend to go for city breaks. Round the world and backpacking trips were popular with Australian, UK and German travellers.

UK young travellers also spend the most on their holidays, with the least being spent by the South Africans.
